If you scrape up 3 years of experience and training with blasting, transport, handling, etc., you can call and take our test for a blasting license. I am assuming you don't have a blasting license or we would have met in person. Alpha may have some work, WA Murphy might too? Or, the mines in Nevada are hiring like fricken mad, signing bonuses for skilled labor! If I got laid off, that is where I would go! Get a camper in an HOA and go to work!  But, if you have the blasting experience, GAG, construction/mining, most likely if you are blasting with Todd Harris, nonel, and desperately trying to promote electronic! Call my office to schedule 916-574-2540. Today was my scheduled blaster exam day. I will be testing around the middle of next month. I would read ISEE blaster handbook and be familiar with all initiations and types of blasting. You are prob up on emulsion and anfo, but be familiar with cartridge, water gels, and stick powder. Also, when you call, have my secretary send you a study packet. I can only test you on what you are experienced at, so no avalanche blasting for example if you have not done it. Don't try to bullshit me either, I see right through that stuff. My initials and ass are on your card for five years. 15 dollars, check or money order payable to State of CA. 2 id's, DL, and passport or birth cert. Should take around 4-6 hours.
