I was stationed at El Toro Marine air station before it closed in the 90's (thanks Bill) and became quite numb to all the noise. I still don't hear very well. We had the Blue Angels each year at the air show. Totally incredible what they can do. The amazing thing to me was that they could pull those manuvers off after dragging themselves off of the O-club floor each night. Airshow time was always a blast. Animals! :smt044

I heard that going on from near downtown Santa Cruz , went outdoors and saw part of it from a bit of distance . Still awesome.
After reading about it on the Sentinel website today , I was thinking, I bet that  the pilot really had a Gas sneaking up on that guy. Sort of in  '50's  Warner Brothers cartoon way.   SURPRISE!!!  BOO!!!

I give alot of respect to fighter pilots, you gotta have really big "stones"  to pull some of the manuevering that you saw. Freakin' awesome! NOBODY wants to be looking down teh business end of any fighter jet... but you know he didnt want to be the guy that let somebody get close to the chief or worse.  Really bad for the reume.
