NOT ENOUGH :smt009
Wool socks, 5 mil booties, compression top and shorts, 3 mil farmer john, poly long sleeve top, North Face mountain parka (goretex), baseball cap. PFD.

My problem was not having a fleece layer, waterproof pants , no gloves, no wool beanie. :smt012

I only lasted 3 hrs. OTW before my chattering teeth were sending me SOS signals :smt002

Know better now for the next arctic conditions.

NRS Ultra-john over a liner I got at Costco years ago.  NRS titanium socks (2 mil?).  5 -7 mil NRS booties.  A rash guard top with an NCKA hoodie under my Stohlquist paddle top.  My usual hat.  I was colder than I've ever been coming off the water.  Might be time to get a drysuit...

I like to stick with the basics, so I went with my "little black dress", fishnets, and spike heel knee-highs.

Oh, and my avanti sling-bag for Cupie.

I hear ya Tiny.

I felt super unprepared once I was out there....

I had a 3mm farmer john and Stohlquist Tread Dry Pants, 6mm dive booties, a spray top and a Penn rain jacket.

Felt frozen to the bone and wished I had worn my 7mm dive suit with all the rest on top to keep off the wind.

Lesson learned....I like the farmer john with the relief zipper to be able to pee on the water, but would rather be warm and piss in my suit and jump in to wash off later!

 :smt005

Good seeing you as always bro.

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

the highlight of the day was watching Jim pull on that cold and wet wetsuit at 6am.... For such a big guy he sure has a high pitched squeal!
Glad I made your day buddy!  :smt013 :smt002 :smt005

Yeah, I left all my paddle gear out on top of my kayak in the cold rain all night....  :smt009

That probably didn't help since I was wet and cold before even getting on the water!!!!!

 :smt011

Sincerely,

Jim
