I'm self contained in my 4Runner.  Fold down the backseats, pad rolls out, bag on top and night night time.  Small cooler, camp stove, a tire to pee on...what more do you need?  :smt001
Ditto.  It's exactly how I've been rolling and camping lately... and when it's cold out, it helps to have a warm dog laying next to my sleeping bag. :grommit:

Haha, Chuck...is this who you are calling a warm dog...what a way to talk about your friends.. :smt044

Sleeping in the truck...running and gunning is the way to go. Multiple nights I will throw up a tent. If deep on a road trip occasionally I'll  do the "one towel Leepin" room thing.  :smt003

In my tent, it's only "roughing it" if it's in inclement weather. Even then, I'm good for one night. If I'm sure it's going to be dry, dew-free, I'll sleep outside w/o the tent.
I have a one man tent to assure that Mooch won't try to finagle his way in and try his spooning trick on me. I throw a shoe at him and he quickly goes on to the next campsite...
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Skip the RV and have a HELICOPTER fly you in the day of the tourny  :smt044  It would be the best "how I roll" ever  :smt005

Couple years back, I told Kevin to rough it with camping at limekiln in big sur, skip his pop up trailer, in favor of mobility and quick tear down.  We drove down together and i slept in the back of my suv, and he pitched a tent.  I don't know what he did that night outside but to this day he still blames me for his torn rotator cuff.  True story.

Just spring the ferias and get cheap room.  Your body will thank you for it.  And any cheap motel will negotiate with you on their rates.

to which event? Clear Lake is still up in the air for me and my yak; still working on WAF points.

GS5 is booked; and yes, I am bringing Yakzilla....
