Was brutal out there... We ended coming back in ~7pm.   :smt003

The heavy surge pushed lings deeper & most holes were vacant.  We ended up with a few mediocre lings for our troubles, but had to work for em.

The shallower reefs I was gonna put you guys on... Were brown waters & covered with breaking swells.   :smt011

Will post a report later this evening.   :smt001

Hi Jim,
It was very nice to meet you and put a name to a face. Thank you for helping me launch.

I did pretty poorly that day. First off I couldn't find any reef. I would my kayak to the kelp, dive down and find little tiny tennis ball sized rocks. Doh!

Next spot would yield the same. As would the spot after that.

I finally found Harold and Dan and anchored about 50 yards inside them and finally found reef and fish. Shot an ok limit of kelpies and misc rockfish with zero lings.

At the end of the day I padded over to where Harold and Dan were and poached a tiny ling from their spot. It was so small when I pulled it out for Carter to look at he said "Nice greenling!"  :smt009
