Thx! I just did 8 miles before sunset last night and this weekend I hope to do the 14 miles around Alameda.

These are good recon runs for me because I can visually see potential fishing spots along the way.

Recon runs?   I hope you're at least trolling a striper or halibut lure along the way.  :smt003

Took the yak to the delta and compared to the bay it was a cakewalk.  Using the standard fins on flat water makes me think the turbos are not as necessary although I'm going to get them anyway :)

DO IT! I'd say the three no brainers for Hobies are

1. Turbo Fins
2. The BIG Wheeleez (that goes for ALL yaks)
3. Sailing rudder

I was thinking that but I need someone to bash me over the head because I've been Fly Fishing Catch and Release (LMB and Stipers) for ever and realized after the cruise I should have trolled... DOH!!
