2011 Giants Fan Fest

18th Annual KNBR 680 Giants FanFest
Saturday, February 5, 2011
11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.


Dust off your gloves, don your best orange and black, grab the entire family and get to AT&T Park, Saturday, February 5th! Giants baseball is back and it starts with "The Sports Leader" at KNBR's Giants FanFest starring your World Champions San Francisco Giants!

Grab autographs from Giants players past and present, snap a picture with the World Series Trophy, walk the field, sit in the dugout, get up close with players and coaches at the Q&A Stage and don't forget to bring the kids to the Junior Giants Zone. The entire KNBR air staff will broadcast live from home plate the entire day!

Admission is free. Donations are encouraged at the gates to the Giants Community Fund.

    * Free parking in Lot A
    * All ballpark gates open at 11:00 a.m. PT
    * Single game tickets go on sale at 9:00 a.m. PT at advance ticket windows outside the ballpark and online.

Oh yeah!! I'm definitely going. I already talked to my boss on Monday about getting off work early for this. But thanks for the heads up. If I would have missed this it would have haunted me till my death.

I love how LA likes SF's sloppy seconds. I hope Uribe works out as well for you as Jason Schmidt (without the injuries). Well...at least your team is shaping up better than the 2010 Dodgers. Looks like they've upgraded their pitching in the offseason. Finally got rid of Manny... Can't wait to see how the NL West unfolds in 2011.  Haha....sorry....get a few beers in me and I just can't help but talk some smack. I guess being Word Champions makes that even easier.

Is there something to attend for the Showtime deal or are you referring to Giants' Fan Fest?

I, too, will be at fan fest although it will probably be a zoo!  After several years of wanting to attend, I finally went for the first time last year with my daughter and it was packed then so I can only imagine what it will be like this year now that they are champions.

Don't know that I'm for the whole Showtime thing.  If they are to repeat, which I think their chances are slim already, they don't need any distractions in the clubhouse.  I guess we'll see how this all turns out.

Haha, I just looked at the link but didn't click on it. I assumed it was a link to an article about the world series trophy coming to Santa Cruz on the 27th.

The Showtime gig is just stupid. We don't need the distraction in the clubhouse.

As for fan fest being a total blow out well...ya...it most likely will be. But I don't care. I'm going anyway. Rekindle some of that world series euphoria.

And...as for you prediction of the Giants not repeating...you are probably right. A lot of things went our way last year for us to win the WS. I can't imagine that happening two years in a row but that won't stop me from believing in my team. We definitely have a chance. Especially if the panda can get back to hitting and fielding like he did in 2009.
