Did you see the house at the end of the court with all the jacked up cars in front of it?  Did you see his backyard with all the crap in it?  Looks like some caught fire!  I wonder if thats the guys house.  Sorry to hear about all this.  What a pain in the ass!  Trying to deal with the City of San Jose is like pulling teeth.  That city is in such a financial shithole right now I doubt you could even schedule an appointment with the Police Department to get them out there.  I do like the idea of posting a hookup if the guy is uncooperative.  I've got tons of friends in SJ who would be down to go, but I doubt that would work.  Good luck with everything Porky!

Since we're trash-talking the DMV (not that it's tough to do so by any stretch of the imagination), I'll add my joyful story.  I registered my Toyota pickup online last August...never got the tags or registration.  Spent 30 minutes on the phone with the DMV back in November to figure out where they went.  Was told that there was a typo in my street address ("Dron" instead of "Drive"...like the post office couldn't figure that out).  I asked her to change it for me, and was told that I had to do that myself online.   She said she'd send out new tags in the meantime.  So I changed the address online and waited.  Still haven't gotten my tags.  :smt012

The DMV sent me my tags 6 months after I paid for them, last year.

I walked my registration papers, check and insurance papers into the DMV.  Info guy gave me an envelope and pointed me toward the drop box and a week later my stickers were in my mailbox along with a note letting me know that the VIN # listed on my insurance card incorrectly listed a 1 as an I.  They're not always bad.

yean not always...except when they spelled my street name wrong and I went to buy a rifle and they wouldn;t let me b/c the street names didn't match. had to go to the DMV and pay for a correction when it was their mistake. Make the DMV private (more then one option) and watch the service level sky rocket
