I will be fishing ventura area over xmas. A bit of a drive for ya. but if you are up for it happy to hook up

Thanks alot you guys sure know how to make a guy feel welcome.

Actually I am from Canada and have been living down here for the past six year for Medical school and the first two years of residency.  I didn't get to go home last Christmas, so this Christmas I'll be up there for a week and a half doing some ice fishing for Northern pike, Walleye and Yellow perch.  Maybe I'll post a report if you guys would like.

Thanks for the invite though!

Brandon

"Maybe I’ll have to get some more tips" Duuuuude! that was some crazy combat fishin' there!!! Here's a couple tips. Stay away from those short shore breaking beaches. Those are the kind that will pick you up and slam you on the sand with very little warning. Better to attempt a slower breaking beach where you have more time to read the swells. Also if you do get hit at least you land on water and not the hard deck. Tip two, don't scare the crap out of your wife if you want her to join you in the future  :smt044 She looks like a real trooper hanging in there with you in the rain and trying, but there's a limit to the devotion....try a more protected cove for launching with her. (give her my compliments on catching you getting hammered tho... :smt002) And last,  just because you made the trip to the ocean with an agenda, if she's all roiled up pass on it and try another day. There are some ab divers not with us that made the wrong decision... respect the water my friend. "The ocean has no emotion" it doesn't care if you get dumped and injured. It'll pound you merciless... I will say, you are a gamer tho, and I'm sure you'll fit right in around here.  :smt002 Welcome aboard you crazy MFer.  :smt005 Stay safe.
