vhf radio purchase

i have this one works great and have drop it several times and it still works great and the weather channel is nice to. 

This Standard Horizon HX750S got great reviews and I bought one recently.  I love it so far...and it's only $100!

Thx Sonny...just ordered one to replace hx600...like the floating factor...also ordered a new waterproof camera that's good to 45' all for under 200.00 don't plan on diving 45' cept I get sucked out to see and if they find me please post up my pics....

I managed to let my radio go swimming 2 weekends ago  so I was searching around for good prices on a new one and found this link here (thanks!).  Turned out they still had some at this price so I ordered one.. came via fedex yesterday and its very nice so far.  Way lighter than my old sinkable BRICK.. er I mean Hx280, and has more features.

After going crabbing at night on the opener w/ no fish finder, gps, or radio.... I went and got the STANDARD HORIZON HX851S.  It was $260 on the pricey side, but where it saved me money was the GPS built in.  I used that on the second and third crabbing trip and its not like a real gps which shows you the terrain, but a compass with dots as the way points.  I used it and it sufficed for looking for my crab floats, so I plan on not buying a gps, since it works close as one.

is that the one with the bluetooth headset? looks nice, but I have a $600 gps. so I went with the hx650s... should ship today!!.. TALK TO YOU SOON.... (unlike last Sunday when I couldn't raise ya) lol
