Salmonid from beach in WA - can you ID it?

Posting this in Fish Talk since I caught it out of state & not from a yak.
Was in Seattle last week and got out for a few hours at least to throw a line out. Went to a cobble bottom beach in Puget Sound and pitched a Kastmaster & then a gold Super Duper, which this monster nailed. Can you identify it? Zee, you're not eligible!

Thanks to Zee for verifying it - I never would've known. Coastal cutts were my target.

That's a Chinook smolt (shaker in Puget Sound speak). Chinook smolts have forked tails when they're juveniles that fills in when they grow up. We get these guys a lot trolling and it's a bummer since you know it will probably die since the hook rarely gets in their mouth. But they're psycho and they commit suicide on just about anything that's flying by. Size does not matter to them! ;D

Definite Chinook.  All salmon (Chinook, coho, pink, sockeye and chum) do NOT have spots in their dorsal fins,  all trout (steelhead, rainbows, browns, cutthroat) have spots in their dorsal fins.  No exceptions when they are juveniles, this changes when they become adults.
