I know what you are going thru.  Last year Oct. I had to put Zoe down (malignant sarcoma).  She was a chow/shepard who was with me for 11 1/2 years after my son left her with me at 4 1/2 months.  I had to do it, because I could see that she was in pain and I couldn't let her go thru that.  They will never be forgotten!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Randall,

Man that hurts.

I've through a few of them, and my present girl is getting up there.  I know how it feels.  Someone needs to figure out how to make our best friends live longer.

Toast to Lilly.

Dave

Randall, Sorry to hear about your Lily. Our Lily passed a couple months back. Red dog aged five years in the last few months without his mama.

Cheers Lily.
I had to let my hunting dog/best friend go last year.  Dang it still hurts.  He has visited me in dreams and I wake up full of joy from the memories.
Hang in there and when you are ready, rescue one.
Cheers to you too for being a great dog friend.
I am sending you out as sheep among wolves.

It's way to soon to think about another pup. I have a few crazy months of Real Estate ahead of me and you can't raize a smart/good dog unless you put in the hours. A hunting dog is in the future. The last hunter I trained, "Zeke" Tyler has with him. Lily was my 4th dog so I won't go to long without one and I could use the youth/laughs of a pup around.
I'm pretty sure most of us have lost our good ole girls/guys before and it never gets easier. Thanks again for the thoughts.

Randall, sorry to hear about Lily.  It wasn't that long ago that you were just telling me about the big lovable dog.  I'll give my dogs a big hug for Lily.
