Any recommendations to launch/fish in Monterey Bay on Mon/Tue

Good afternoon all, I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend I recently received my paddle, so I'm hoping to FINALLY do my very first kayak fishing either on Monday or Tuesday around my local area (Monterey Bay). However after looking at the swells, it seems that conditions are not ideal.

Would anyone be kind enough to suggest any areas worth going out on the kayak in Monterey area? I'm not asking for "secret spots" or "honey holes", just general areas (ie Lovers Point, etc). I know that Stillwater is currently off access due to the upcoming US Open. Thanks everyone!!

MBK is a great place for a maiden voyage because it's generally mellow & calm. The fishing isn't the best but it can be diverse w/halibut off the sand and rockfish/lings off the isolated rock piles (not to mention Cannery Row or the jetty for rockies/lings too). Other good options might include Coral St in PG or Carmel river beach (caught 20+ fish there yesterday).

dpshim, have a fun paddle where ever you end up. I've only ever fished the MBK/ Cannery row area. Easy launch. Parking is a little spendy right there at MBK, but I think there's a cheaper lot a block or so away. The bodega across the street there has excellent deli sandwiches.

Thank you both for your responses My friend, Ryan, and I will be launching out either from MBK or near CGJ. We'll be hitting up the adjacent areas (jetty, kelpbeds, and possibly the beach/surf area).
