sorry - no pics -
we arrived at 5am and instantly noticed there is a new locked gate on the dock at the marina and signs everywhere saying no fishing from the dock or within 200 feet of it

we only fished till about 10 as we had moms day stuff to do with the fam but a good morning - got spooled and broke off couple times (probably cats but im telling myself they were stripers) , landed a 6 lb cat and 2.5 lb largemouth - my buddy also had a good size cat,  a 3lb smallie and a carp

Nice Kitty there!  Thank you for the report John.

Yah they started to crack down on fishing in the marina, last fall they didn't mind anyone fishing in the marina, but some guys decided to clean there fish and leave all of the guts and heads on the dock. So now there is no fishing within 200 feet of the marina. It is a shame two guys messed it up for all of us.

im wondering if they will give tickets without a warning - most likely yes they will give tickets first and ask questions later - the cat i had took me from the middle of the cove right up to the main dock and then back into the middle - it would suck to get a ticket for that

on a better note - the point right across from the gas pumps produced well drifting from the next point/cobble transition back towards the marina - we had 4 on and two landed in a 30 minute span - that was right at the end of our morning and we had to leave

Nice, I need to get my yak in some freshwater more often. I've had my new yak for 2 years and its only seen freshwater twice. I would like to hammer a big cat from my yak.
