Sat looks windy and cloudy on Weather.com. Sun looks like rain. I think I may be able to try Sat, but still don't know for sure. What do you think about the weather? What do use for bait/lures up there? I fished the ponds in wildlife area for about 1.5 hours on tues from shore. Caught a couple small bass. Really wished I had my yak. Shore fishing the sucks.

live minnows and crawdads should be your best bet.

Pretty much anything is working.

This weekend turns out to be crap for me, and the wind has been really high...

Wacky rigged senkos seem to be doing the best, but word I hear is that drop shot and darthead rigged worms are working just as well.

One quote from a report: "just throw what you are confident in and you will score fish"

If it were me, I would be drop shotting and prolly throwing big trout imitation swimbaits for an hour or two to see if I could get a big bite.

Most of the fish are in the 2-3 pound range.

How do week days work for you? I set my own schedule, so just about any time can be good. I may go back Sat for a while to Thermalito or the smaller ponds with a yak this time. Too windy lately for big water is very true. May even try Yuba Gold Fields. Been a while since trying there, and it's closer to me.
