Geez Sonny, What do you think I did.  :fat Steamed it with the crabs and it was great. After my burger, beer and fries for lunch I asked Karen to make her crab salad for dinner.

I hope it's ok to tag onto your report, but Sat was the same.

Twas my first time so I only brought one trap.  After a 1/2 hour soak I had one legal rock...  15 minutes later there were 4 inside, only one legal, but a HUGE dungie was clinging outside the trap, dropped into the footwell...  Did I mention the weather was nice, so I was barefoot?  Anyway, I dropped again immediately cuz I started to realize maybe it takes the crabs awhile to get to your pots...

Ended up with a huge rock, three smaller rocks, and one legal dungie.

I think the Manta Ray is perfect for crabbing, and 4 pots should be no sweat next time.

I very much enjoyed playing with the GPS and hauling the trap.

Props to the HMB Kayak dudes, with the wash station, easy launch n load hookup.

Great to see that everyone had such an awesome outing! Given that I spent the weekend nursing my lower back I used the time to finish rigging my buoys and drop line... Which forced me to learn how to do an eye splice. I found the following two sites pretty helpful:

http://coastsidefishingclub.com/crabbing

Thanks again for the report guys!

Awesome!! Great report and pics.   What a terrific day on the water.   That looked like quite a feast.

I always wondered if there were sand dabs up on HMB, and now i have my answer.
