Looking for advice from experienced NCKA'ers.  I'm 6'2", 230# and looking at the Malibu X-13.  I'm at the top weight limit for this model but told it would work.  I need a yak that I can launch/land in 2' surf if need be.  I will be using it primarily at Shelter Cove. Also want decent range and speed. Don't need live bait tank.  From what I can tell this would be a decent soultion.  I especially would appreciate any advice from anyone who has actual experience with the X-13.  I need advice fast as I'm likely to need a quick decision (tomorrow).  Thanks,  "Boogieman"

I checked the manufacture's specification and the max load for this yak is 450lb.  See link below:

6ft 2in. 235lbs = X-Factor if you dont like the X-13.

I have the x-13, but have never been on the ocean. Im @ 190 and love it. Its stable and fast. Light enough for me to load and unload solo; I have had lower back surgery. Its seems a little slim for work space but thats the design I think. It sits low in the water which could mean wet ride in the ocean. I look forward to Albion to get it out there the first time.

If it's in good condition and the seller wants $600 or less, then buy it. Otherwise, it's not the best choice for a ocean-only far-norcal fishing yak.

It's new and comes with a rudder for $750.  Still trying to decide.  Thanks for the input.
