Sent this to my Norwegian roomate and she explained that it is possibly a bachelor party type of ritual. She said they do crazy weird stuff before weddings, like make the groom bathe on a puddle downtown or make the bride go bar-hopping in a bikini and x-country skis.

how do you know when they are coming down your block?  i'd like to try that! looks like a good way to keep people away from your house.
