If I am going there, I will definitely trying to catch a WSB using whole squid!

James -

The WX is sketchy for Saturday, slightly better for Sunday. The WSB are far enough NW from MBK to see some of the west swell so Sunday would probably be better. I would target WSB, sand dabs and market squid. Try to find somebody to buddy up with and make yourself visible because there will be alot of PB's out there. Good luck!!!

I was thinking the same thing. I'd prefer Sat but the wx looks better for Sun. I am gonna make the call Friday

Good lucks everyone.  Please be extra careful, there'll be lots of PBs out there too if the weather is good!

Good luck on the fishing. Whatever you do, don't die!
Here is the NOAA forecast for the MBK/mile buoy area: http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=36.625171978850105&lon=-121.8874740600586&site=mtr&smap=1&marine=1&unit=0&lg=en
In case too lazy to click on link, it says:
Tonight:  S wind around 9 kt. Mostly cloudy. W swell 15 ft at 15 seconds. Wind waves around 2 ft.
Saturday: S wind 5 to 8 kt becoming variable and less than 5 kt in the afternoon. Partly sunny. W swell 15 to 16 ft at 14 seconds. Wind waves around 1 ft.
Saturday Night: Variable winds 5 kt or less. Mostly cloudy. WNW swell 12 to 14 ft. Wind waves around 1 ft.
Sunday: Variable winds 5 kt or less. Mostly cloudy. WNW swell 10 ft. Wind waves around 1 ft.
Won't be a lot of boats out w/such a big swell + wind on top of it. There were 2 boats out yesterday working the area btwn the mile buoy and beach hotel. Same 2 boats out today.

Also forgot to mention the squid and bass are gone. Still plenty of dabs though. I'll post a msg tomorrow if I'm going out on Sunday, but it seems doubtful at this point. Will probably just go catch some steelhead in a local river instead. But the Forebay is tempting....gotta go check the wind first. OK enough posting/thinking out loud lol.
