Its a good boat.  A lot of boat, i.e. heavy, but it'll take care of you.  hold off on the pimpin until youve got at least 20 hours of water time under your belt.  you'll figure out what you need and don't need.  Spend this off season doing some conditioning, legs/back/shoulders, to make sure you dont slip a disc hoisting that barge atop your rack!

if you want, you can take a little bit of duct tape and some rod holder mounts out with you to get an idea of where to put your rods (for testing only!) before you start drilling holes.  I've had my new revo in the garage for a week and a half and have only been thinking and thinking about it, even though I have a decent background in rigging boats (having done 4 already).  take your time and make sure its done right!

Yeah, with my first boat I waited several trips and probably 6 months.  I didn't want to have drillers remorse.

take your time and make sure its done right!

Thank you guys for all the wonderful advices, definitely I do not want any unwanted drill holes in the yak where I don't needed. I think I will just got light and add just 1-2 Scotty rod holders. Can you tell me which model is better for the Outback? Should I get the Ram mount or the Scotty? I will be using spinning and bait casting and would like that mount either to the right or the left or maybe both sides, any opinions? Thanks again!

I'll try to post pictures of mine tonight.  I used the RAM and love them.

I agree wait a bit before  doing too much. However having at least one standard rod holder would be good. You can buy what's called a gimbal or make your own mod for one of the recessed rod holders. With the recessed holders you are always looking up to see your rod tips. A rod in a standard holder is easier to watch and it gets the line away from the boat. I have found that my line is less likely to get caught on the stern, or my net when making a turn.

I really like these guys - great selection and prices

Spend your money on a good wet suit (NRS Farmer John) and a decent fish finder (Humminbird 380 series or the 570)
