New Years 2010 Sonoma Coast

Hey guys,
Bloodbath here! Headed up north once again to bring in the new year with the family. Took the kids fishing at Fort Ross, had a couple bites, and found some beach treasures. That's all the fishing we did because of the weather. Shuttled the fam up the ridge above the barn and hiked 2.5 miles down, would rather be riding a bike was the consensus. The weather was not cooperating so we passed the time enjoying our time eating good food with great friends. Happy New Years guys! Twenty-ten not Two Thousand and ten, right?!

I'm still on the fence in what has to be the most important national debate as it has implications for the next 89 years - is it "twenty-xx" or "two thousand xx"????

I lean toward two thousand xx.  It just seems to flow better, especially with our oakie influenced lazy California speech.  Now, if we were properly speaking the Queen's English this wouldn't be such a close call, but we must play the cards we are dealt amirite?

For those of you wondering what the hell is going on, I say:

LOOK, this is important.  What will happen in two thousand sixty-eight when only a handful of us are around to tell of the debate nearly 60 years prior.  THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!  This is our legacy, and we have an obligation to think it through for the kids sake.

Or on August 12, 2045 when at Gimmie Shelter XLII the clouds part and the sun is gone. (This will actually happen, I can't make this stuff up).  Then we will know if we made the right choice.  I'm considering betting it all on two thousand xx, someone talk me out of it.
