Hi All,

So I went into Aquan Sports this weekend to shop for my kayak.  On Saturday I went in and I ran into Tom (Sirius) who was also shopping for a kayak.  It was nice to meet a fellow NCKA member and I also got a lot of good information from him.  Hopefully, we will meet on the water some time in the near future.

One of the things I found out was that Aquan was having a 25% off sale.  The sale price of the Trident Angler 13 was ~$750 and with tax was ~$825.  Unfortunately, the sales people did not know how long the sale was supposed to last.  However, based on my research the price seemed to be pretty good so I went ahead and purchased the kayak even though I had not yet demoed it.  They have a 30 day return policy for unused kayaks so I figured the risk was pretty low.  I will be going out on Wednesday to their boat house to give it and a few other kayaks a try.

Based on what I have read, I will probably not regret the purchase so I am hopeful that the demo will go well.  What do you guys think?  Did I do the right thing?  Is there something else I should be looking out for?  Thanks!

Michael

Way to go! I used to work for Aquan - they have given NCKA plenty of support in the past. Glad you gave them the business that they deserve / thanks!

I bought my T13 Angler a few months ago. Just installed the FF/GPS today! Going crabbing on Tues/Weds. It's a good kayak.

Dude you won't regret it! That's a great boat. Very versatile and should be able to handle all of your fishing adventures in fresh and saltwater. We'll have to get together and catch some fish soon! Congrats on the nice yak.
