Heck, that's about the only yak big enough for a dude your size! I had one and it paddled fine. Very stable platform. But try to get one w/rudder because the wind can affect paddling. The big center hatch is nice. Only issue you might have is the footwells might not be long enough. I'm only 6' and had the footpegs in the second-to-last notch. The T15 and Tarpon 160 both have longer footwells (and footpegs instead of corrugated wells, like the Big Game).

I know a really tall guy who likes the malibu x factor.  Similar weight capacity, he calls it the caddyyak.  :smt001

I am not tall but am heavy and like the OK trident 15.  I tried the Big Game but it did not paddle as well as the others.

Do what AbMan does. He uses a Cobra Triple. Standup stability, lots of room and it will hold an ice chest. He keeps up with the rest of us on our "fast" yaks. I have one and it has never tipped even with my wife, daughters and 60 lb dog palying in it.

Hello Ed
My wife and I both have Big games and we love them.I am 6'2 and about 240lb and I use my kayak for ocean fishing most so I like the extra wide platform and stability it has,I also can move around on top of it without suffering from frog butt syndrome because the this kayak is not tippy at all.since my wife has the same one there is no competition for speed and I have had no problem keeping up with others in their "faster" kayaks.
If you would like to paddle one I can meet up with you and we can take mine out for a few hours.I am going to be busy until after Christmas but I can go out any day after that if you like.
Good luck in your search
Matt
