I can't help but wonder with all this rain the wind seems to be a non issue (at least here in SJ). I am thinking San Luis Res or the Forebay may be an option. Anyone have any winter intel on SLR? I am guessing it would be a dead bait bite a bit deeper?

call the wind # before you leave home, when you hit Tracy, when you hit Patterson, when you hit Los Banos,... be prepared to change your game plan because of the wind. It can go from 0 to SCA it 5 minutes. I love and hate that place. Good thing Disco Bay is an hour away.

I think it would be cool to drift the Aquaduct, to bad it is so dangerous.

Oh I know that wind....A buddy of mine a few years back in my Klamath. We got to the trash racks and then the wind started to blow. We took over an hour to cross back. Some of the worst and scariest 'seas' I have been in.....

A buddy on another site fished the big lake 2 consecutive days last week and scored about ~25 fish by mooching deep w/sardines (I think, but maybe he was using anchovies). I'd like to hit the Forebay or big lake w/my yak sometime this winter.
