Navy?!  I was thinking that the rig was designed by Sanford & Son. 

Ben, those trout be some fatties.  What's with the warts on the tails though?  See any evidence in the guts of something weird going on?  In your experience, does the fishing improve in rising water conditions? Rain, etc?

Not warts on the tail of the big one. Since they are stocker fish, their tails rub raw in the tanks. That particular fish was growing his tail back that's why it looked so weird.  The smallest one had a small sore on his tail but that is fairly common for stockers due to the crowded conditions they live in.

As for amador the fishing gets better when they stock more fish. That's pretty much the dominating factor. They usually stock more fish when water temps cool down and the water level rises. The thing I like about amador the most is the fish are commonly on top and can be hard fighters.

I understand that the degraded fins are a result of their diet moreso than the cramped conditions inside a cement raceway. Either that or global warming.
