Missing AB Diver@ Sea Ranch

Read A storie this morn about A missing Ab Diver @ Sea Ranch. Reportedly searchers found Abs and gear on the beach but no diver. It was also stated that there was no vehicle or missing persons report. Kinda sounds funny to me but I also hope everything is alright!

SONOMA CO.: UPDATE: COAST GUARD SUSPENDS SEARCH FOR MISSING DIVER

The U.S. Coast Guard suspended a search tonight for a diver who reportedly went missing off the coast this afternoon near the unincorporated Sea Ranch area of Sonoma County.

Coast Guard Petty Officer John Eastman said a community member reported a diver in distress in the area of Galleons Reach at about 12:55 p.m. The Coast Guard dispatched a helicopter and two boats, which searched the water until about 7 p.m.

Sonoma County firefighters, Sonoma County sheriff's divers and a helicopter, and National Park Service personnel assisted in the search earlier in the day, Eastman said.

He said a raft containing abalone was found in the area. The Coast Guard suspended the search tonight due to a lack of sunlight and inclement weather, Eastman said.

The search will remain suspended pending further developments.
