Newb looking for fishing company on Wed or Fri at HMB, Bean or thereabouts.  I am flexible.  Really itching to get out after my first outing a few weeks back at Stillwater. :smt006

john, if you're a newb, i'd avoid bean this week or at least keep a VERY close eye on the weather forecast.  it looks...rough, to say the least.

thx for the lookout.  I'll look at the forecasts again and try HMB weather permitting.  If you are going out sometime before the season's end, would love to join.  thx again.

I just checked the WX forecast and it is not good. Wed looks marginal (mixed 5-8ft) but Friday is a definite no-go @ Bean. Not even sure if HMB w/b fun in 8-10ft swells. Santa cruz may be a better/safer option if you got the itch.
Good luck!!!

thx again to all.  If experience says it's a no-go, I'll just have to drive further to relieve the itch!

yeah unless the weather forecast calms down, i'd probably stick to freshwater.  its dangerous and no fun fishing in 8 foot swells. SC or capitola would be a half decent choice weather wise.  capitola's wharf is closing this week until nov. though.

Since you live in Oakland, the closest is ARW if not RIO Vista for some Stripers action...
