Yup, many of us were...or still are...members of PF.com.

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

I guess my NCKA intro started with my sister-in-law and her husband, who were paddling and fishing around Santa Barbara in OK scrambler XT's when I came back from a kayak stint in AK. It looked so rad! They turned me on to Spike's site in 1997-98.

The "big break" came after attending a couple of Kayak Connection fishing events. I already knew about NCKA when I ran into this guy who called himself "Han'a Pa'a" or something. He asked me to create an art piece for his bestest buddy Bill, to be presented at an annual awards thing in Half Moon Bay, at Ono Grill (now gone :smt010)

My wife & I had a blast at the party, and NCKA has been a great resource for me ever since. Each year has something major in it, PB sized fish, new friends (human and ichthyo types :smt003), and new experiences.

I am often humbled by the fishing skills displayed herein, and I'm proud to be a part of the tribe!

Randomness rules the universe. Perseverance is the only path to success..but luck sometimes works too.
