So what was the commercial guy using?...

AK, I didnt see this commie in particular, but id bet my last dollar he was using squid.

that looks like an old friend of mine who holds the state record for WSB His name is HOBET. Looks like he Changed his boat. He also Kayak fish. Yes, most likely he was flylining a squid.

Alien now that you mention it. He did ask if I knew you and he said he has a yak....I must have forgotten. And yes he was using squid. His keeper was on a fly lined dead one. He also had a few down at 60 ft. He was a pretty cool guy. Didn't get all bent out of shape that we were all around and happily shared his set up.

As for cooking I marinaded it in Lawrys Mesquite with lime. Grilled it and had fish tacos. Added some chipotle sour cream, onion, avocado, tomatoes and cabbage. I gotta tell ya I was worried that it was gonna taste bad (I even had some carne in the fridge in case) But DAMN that was some great fish! Really flaky and moist. Might be the best fish for taco's to date.

Kiel I to am not working. My daughter is in day care wed-fri so I can usually make it out on those days.

Mike thanks for the pic's I think I may have a new avatar! Can you email a copy to me (email address is in my profile)
