I haven't posted in awhile....but I did get out the last two days, one day was fishing the other day was catching! I pimped out my Hobie Mirage with a down rigger, depth finder, rod holders and a basket for scents. The thing worked out awesome, I can peddle and work two rods with ease. Now to the report....on the water at 6:45am, launched left of the dam. Within 3 minutes fish on, small 10" trout, released. While I was releasing the lead line, bam another one on, 12" trout - bleeder (kept). The third time releasing more line.....bam another one - small, I grabbed the camera to take a picture, but he did a few flips, and off he went. Then for the next few hours nothing! Then about 11:00am the bite was on again, caught about 6 more. kept two for the grill. Biggest was 13", but fun! I had one fish pop the clip on the downrigger, but no fish. All others were caught on the lead line 75' back, 15ft. down, in 30-40ft. of water. Silver Diamond Spoons with a a single hook wedding ring. Lake Lice started coming out....off the water at 12:30pm. I'll post my other fishing trip separate.

Agreed - cool setup.  Just needs a stripper pole and a fish cleaning station.   :smt002

I did! I bought all the pieces at Home Depot for under $50 minus the downrigger and depth finder. It's been working out excellent for me. The basket is also bolted to the board. The framing under the board is made of pvc and is held in place using the hole for the optional sail. Everything is easly accessable which was my ultimate goal. The next item I am going to add is a trolling motor for the days I don't feel like peddling. Thanks for the compliment!!

For a moment there I thought the comment about the pole was a "striper pole" not stripper pole. Man I am going to bed, the Nyquil has gone to my head :drool
