Made it down to the cove around 9 am and headed out. It was a little lumpy but soon the wind waves settled down a bit. The drift was just the right speed and the bite was pretty hot, just had to find a pile to drift over. C&Red a bunch of blacks, some big greenling (all were over 16 in), and 3 small lings. Kept a nice ling, a big black rf, and a verm for the freezer. The lings came right off the get go, got some pics of them and then the battery in my camera died. :smt013 I forgot to swap them out the night before.

Good time as usual at the cove, the bite is better in the a.m. though.

As I came gliding up to the launch, I was greeted by Buzz (the self proclaimed launch bar tender) who was pouring rum and cokes out the back of his car. :smt002 I oblidged his offer -dont piss off the ramp crowd, right?- and BSed with the "regulars" for a few. Even the commercial guys were sociable. Till the booze ran out. Good stuff too, came in a plastic bottle so it dont break when you drop it.

Abking, that WAS the little white Dodge truck from the 4th. Looks like artificial reef material to me.

Cant wait to do it again. Maybe 8/2.

Here are a few pics.

U/W pics are the bomb! And in regards the ramp you got it right. Sometimes you just gotta "take one" for the team!
Thanks for the story & pics!

Hey Domenic,

Ripping report and pics. The pull of the north is getting tough to resist. Can't wait to get up there. Don't forget, I'll have some room in the boat for the salmon season in Trinidad. Working out living arrangements with my dad  for the time we'll be there. Great under water pics too. Take care and stay in touch,

Shannon
