Sorry if I offended the Hobie guys and yes, it probably was a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time for Dan's Hobie.  Yes, ChuckE was paddling/pedalling a red adventure with his fins deployed and on top of that he was wearing a red cap...talk about asking for it.  However, we all know that ChuckE is in a category all by himself when it comes to fishing and luck etc.

No, I'm no expert when it comes to GWS attacks but we know that they're around.  I know there was a lot of doubt about CafeCraig's story about how he got buzzed by a GWS at the Bean earlier.  He was reluctant to tell anyone because he didn't think anyone would believe him...I believed him then and we all believed after Dan's adventure.

So I also believe that the GWS had a taste of a yak and spit it out...plastic tastes bad...ChuckE you're safe.  However, what's to say another GWS comes along and tries to figure what that thing with the big fins tastes like?  I honestly can say that it would seriously bother me that if Geoff, being a stone rookie and was totally unaware of Dan's attack, took his Hobie out and got munched on.  Given the reaction I'll be sure to keep my worthless opinions to myself from this point on.

John, you and I go back a long ways and I have always looked up to you.  I know for a fact that you've fished the Bean many more times than I and I'm sorry if this hit a nerve.

I do agree with John that I'm no expert and it's not proven that a Hobie with fins attracts sharks.  I hope we don't ever have that type of data either.

No worries, Gary.

Honestly, the first thing I thought when I saw a peddle drive yak for the first time was "Man, that looks even more like a seal than a "regular" yak.

Gary, we do go way back, I'm sorry for being so harsh.  Honestly, Dans964 red hobie adventure is the only hobie I found on the internet so far that has been attacked.
