Tell everyone you know/see about Canaries and Yelloweyes (especially yelloweyes). Everyone would be VERY scared if you knew how many Yelloweyes and Canaries were counted by the end of Sunday and were only on day 3 of the season (think 3 digits, by one counter alone!)...............at this rate the season will be shut down SOON. ALL ANGLERS MUST GET WITH THE PROGRAM!!!!!!!!!!

Yup, please make sure you know the difference between a vermillion and a yelloweye. They look very similar. Also know what a canary looks like; once you catch one, you'll know---very pretty fish.
Also, I heard the local office might have issued the first citation for a bronzespotted RF.

Ugh...  :smt011  Know the regs & if you're not 100% sure what it is, DON'T keep it.

Open this & click the 5th link down to download a Canary & Yelloweye ID flyer:

I have a question maybe someone here can answer.

Is it true that the creel survey numbers are what are used to estimate total protected species take and to decide when to close the season early, BUT that same data is NOT the data used to estimate protected species populations for the purpose of changing the regs.
