Going to be headed up to Clear Lake 6/18-6/21 with my Dad and bro.  Got a campsite in the state park.  Would love to hook up with any NCKA members that might be out there that weekend.  Will have some BBQ pork to trade for fish intelligence.

Thought I'd bump this up since it's this week.  Any fellow NCKA going to be at CL this weekend?  Will be arriving Thurs night and fishing Fri, Sat and Sun am.  Hope to see some of you guys.  Send me a PM and I will give you my cell# so we can meet up.

Hey Darius - sure I'd like to know what your go-to lures are.  If it's sensitive info please send me PM.  Thanks!

Good luck Chris. Wish I could go man. I've always wanted to fish CL. Not sure what Darius' secret lure is but it seems like a lot of guys use live bait (jumbo minnows) up there. Not sure why it's acceptable practice at CL while frowned-upon elsewhere. Either way, it looks like they work really well.

NCKA'ers eyes only LOL  :smt044 actually theres no such thing as secret unless people are selfish enough not to share, believed it or not I never got skunk at clear lake (thats how confident I am on my go to) all you need is Medium light rod, I use 7' with shimano symetre 2000, here we go! Dropshots MMIII Roboworm, and Speed Trap delta craw color, please practice CPR on LM Bass, looking forward on your report!

Yeah - I will be picking up some "secret agents" for sure!

Too bad you can't make it up - we'll have to plan on at least one more trip this summer/fall.  I still need to get up to Salinas to take care of my old storage unit so maybe a trip to Carmel or Big Sur later this month?

Does anybody eat those mercury infested things?  Isn't that partially why the fishing is so damn good because everybody practices C&R.

Sounds like my set-up.  Love the 7' ML with the Symetre.  I'm somewhat familiar with Roboworms but don't know what the MMIII is.  Care to elaborate?

Michael
