I have an AB Biller 36" Mahogany, with three 5/8" bands. No problems with it whatsoever.

However, I do think that the polespear is the ultimate for rockfish, halibut, and lings. It really challenges your ability to accurately spear and subdue a fish underwater.

I totally agree with you on that. I still have my pole spear and will continue to use it. But having a gun on the side would be nice to have - especially when agarcia get's in the way again :smt002
