I fish for Steelhead on American from shore but haven't try from kayak there before.  Would love to do it someday.  Thanks for the report and pictures.

I knew you get them!!! :smt041 but how's striper action...?
I am too scared to river fish again... :smt009 but I finally set up the mini, so might try it soon.

What happened, cause I only have longer yaks; P15, Revo, and 2XL.

I'd really like to try for some of these, but have never done before and don't know the American at all. Can you suggest a launch/method/other info for a newbie? Isn't there a big flow on the American? Or did you fish a flat section with put-in and take-out at the same place? Did you drift or anchor up? Would I be better off starting from shore? Any other pointers?

Thanks for helping a Shad-newbie.

Andy

Great report!

Thanks for the inspiration!  I think I'll try the trout gear for some of those shad tomorrow.

We'll be launching from sunrise sometime in the afternoon!
