Thanks everyone. The new Tarpon is a great ride. However, this is my first SOT kayak, so I really don't have much to compare it to. It seems to track really well, paddles fast and has lots of neat little options, like the new accessory tracks on the sides of the deck and the storage pockets on each side of the seat. The seat is really comfortable as well.

I'm heading back out to the same area (Capitola) again today. Those bigger butts are out there, and I plan to get me a keeper! My VHF radio will be scanning channel 11 and 69 if anyone else is in the area.
