I read the link Metalhead posted. Very informative. I love the idea of the hollow braid and doing the sleeve thing with it for top shotting, but it only comes in #80 and up from what I saw. Not to mention $$$$$$$$$$$$$ Powerpro originaly designed for kite string.... I'm leaning towards the Sufix or the Cortland line after reading more and listening to the comments. PP is out for sure. I haven't seen the Isorline brand in the stores around here. I wonder if you could use a short section of the hollow braid as a sleeve over the braid running line and the top shot mono line? Tie a nail knot over both ends, add a little glue....Hmmm...

Jerry Brown makes 60# hollow, but you can use Dacron which is hollow and a lot cheaper, since it will discarded when the leader/topshot is. That is what some commercial leader companies use instead of spectra.
I spliced hollow to non hollow and it works, it was a combo of woven(splicing needles) and fingertrap, topped with glue.
If you have to cut off or break off the loop to loop is a lot faster to re-rig . I use a Bimini loop on the running line to a looped topshot/leader.

The problem with loop to loop is they still hang up sometimes in the guides. I want to be able to cast it through the guides. I like the idea of the dacon sleeve tho... :smt001 I've use the sleeved loops for my flylines in the past and they were great, but I want a smoother transitrion for a spinning outfit. I've always hated tying those B twists... :smt012

i used sufix because all other companys have a habit of just like falling of the reel. (consider getting a downrigger)
