I was working in the backyard today and who should appear around the corner? It was that crazy, wild-eyed guy from across the tracks, Abking! Any work that was in progress came to grinding halt because I knew something was up. "I gotta run to town and be back in an hour, lets go perch fishing"  he says. Fine with me, I will go at the drop of a hat - even if I have to drop the hat myself.

Dug around in the yard trying to find some WAF buried around somewhere, oh wait, the wife is at work!

You know what they say "It is easier to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission".

Got everything tidied up just in time as Abking rolled up and we made tracks down the road. The water super flat with just a slight wind, it was a short paddle. We walked up to the wave slope, not wasting time getting lines in the surf for it was past 3. The fishing wasnt red hot, but the tide was at 5, dark at 6. Abking hooked up first so I tried to get some video which I will try to post later. I think we had a half dozen in the bucket , a kickass sunset to watch with some cold frosty ones and called it one hell of killer afternoon!

Here is to good friends and good fishing.

And another bloody bucket.

PK's right - I aim to spread love, epic fish tales and beer swilling throughout the perch fishing community!   :smt003

That's a great photo with all the tree skeletons strewn about as far as the eye can see.

Can't go any better than that. WTG on the nice reds. BTW, where is MOE? Is this your backyard? Some guys are truly blessed.
