Have you registered on the AOTY site  http://aoty.ncka.org?
Have you paid?
Are you fishing for one of the 10 AOTY fish in Nor Cal and following all the DFG rules?
Are you going to measure and photograph the fish you catch?

If you answered yes to these you should be legit.

Brian-

I followed the proper steps, registered, paid, etc. I then look for some sign that it's on, such as the upper righthand corner where it shows when a member paid. Mine shows paid for last year and nothing for this year's contest. I'm not sweating it too much, I think it's just some glitch you guys are working out?
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Juan, it's not a glitch, Bill simply needs to update the "paid on date" info in the database. I could do it myself, but he has all the info on who has paid.   Unfortunately, Pay Pal and AOTY aren't linked together enough so that paying would automatically update the database.

i would think if you've paid then you're good.  Bill has probably been busy and that's why AOTY hasn't been updated yet.  But if you're paid prior to catching the fish then i'm sure all of us AOTY members will agree that points should be rewarded.

Yeah, keep uploading your fish.  They should still show up under the "recent catches" list.  As soon as things calm down for Bill and he gets to updating, all your points will show up.  He'll update your paid date to the date you actually paid and everything should propagate from there and you'll get your points.

The unfortunate part of this is that I probably won't see my name at the top by the time Bill gets caught up as others will have multiple species. :smt010

I wanted to take a screen shot of my name being on top of the leader board because it is the only time all year that it's there. :smt044

Sorry for the delays guys, everything is up to date now. I emailed a few people that had not setup AOTY accounts or I could not match your paypal to your AOTY name. Fishmaster you are one of those people.

Ah, scratch that, the big man is at work as I type.  What a site to behold! :smt007  :smt005

But I'm not holding my breath, it will change by Monday! :smt011

On a side note, Bill could have some real fun with this and not update it again until December 31.  Some would do their own math but can you imagine the paranoia? :smt044  :smt005

I think that's pretty standard for just about anybody with a job that logs in here during the day.
