BTW, how do you find the T11 on that waters?

The T-11 is a great little kayak for this application.  I used to really miss my Mini-X as it was also a great driftyak.  The T-11 is similar except it has a better layout  and footwells, more storage, and it is nicer paddling.  It is also very well behaved on anchor.  The Mini however was a tad drier, more manuverable,  definitely a bit more stable, and lighter.

A great read.  Man, what determination.  At 0300 I'm in the 0-zone.  Congrats.

I was checking your points every so often.  Guess I had a feeling you had something up your sleeve.  Not sure why, since I've never met anyone from this site yet, but I was hoping to see you pull it off.

I kept waiting to enter the fish, but then kept getting upgrades until the last trip.  I was however keeping my success on the Smith on the DL. I decided to wait and let some time run off of the clock. Sitting on a post for almost 2 weeks was torture.

SBD,
Great Job on the Smith... I do miss those Northwest rivers.... and 5 in one day... awesome...!!! I did have a tech... question....?  I usually fish with hardware that's my preference... Cleos and Panther Martins...etc... but how do you do that float thing...??? Best kind of float...?? Stopper..?? Weight...? Bait or jig...??? Best test line...???

Congrats,

Gue

when hardware will work, I prefer to go that route as well, but in low water on the Smith they are generally to spooky to go for it.  The water was infact so slow you could even bounce bait, which is what I generally do best, so I rigged up the bobber.

Shimmy got me going on floats a few year ago when he SCHOOLED me in the lower Russian with six fish back to back.  Its like any other version of fishing, there are a zillion variations out there but this article is a solid starting point.  http://www.piscatorialpursuits.com/resourcecenter/floatfishing.htm.
