Took some neihbors and nephews fishing actually eel poking the rocks in Moss on Tues.Caught A nice variety of fish including Cabazon Monkey Face Eel and Greenlings.I have never seen Greenlings caught in this area before.I caught my personal best Monkeyface with A coat hanger.Pics to follow. Saw A huge group of Movie personal filming the otters. After talking to this knockout female sheriff which approached me to warn the boys about approaching wildlife (which we already knew)said the gruop was the same group that filmed that movie about those Geese and experimental airplane, I forgot the name.Anyway had A great time with lots of fish and A wonderfull shore lunch as always....See you all on the water soon...Andy

movie is called Winged Migration.  If you have not seen it you should.  The filming is amazing.

Right on. The jetty usually produces a few nice fish if ya do it right. Sounds like you scored. I almost went to Moss on Sunday to try for rays+sharks by the bridge but went to Carmel and dealt with ridiculous waves instead....shoulda went to Moss.
Can't wait to see the coat-hangered MFE! Did you eat it?

Andy, thanks for the post. Looked like a nice day out there. I drive through Moss Landing all the time and next time I may just have to try chillin with a beer on the jetty with a line in the water like you guys. Good work , I mean good leisure or good fishing.

here is a recipe someone posted for those.

~ start a pot of rice, then boil the eel in a seperate pan and spice to taste.
~ when the rice is done, place into bowls.
~ take the pot of eel and toss it into the trash can.(not even the dog will eat it)
~ now eat the rice!  :smt044

.....some said it's good to smoke, but sounds kinda hard to roll up or pack into a bowl to me :smt002
......check the Recipe Thread...i think it's in there.
