I noticed you added a (gulp) for bean hollow in your post Northern Boy.  Is this because of the swell forecast or because of its sharkyness?  Nov 2 2005 there was a shark attack at mavericks.  Similar conditions existed, although the attack was in the afternoon.

Not trying to deter anyone, just throwing caution out there.  I saw your post and was thinking of heading out there to drop crab pots and rock fish on sunday and I started to remember something about a shark attack there.  I'd been kayak fishing about 6 or 7 months when this happened.  Prompted me to get on the ball and purchase a vhf radio and a bilge pump.

I'm gonna try to make it out there.  Scxfactor, looking forward to your report also.

Yes indeed, it's All About The Shark. I know it makes no sense, but at least at HMB I can lurk near the kelp and tell myself I'm safer. I'll get over it one day.
