hey, Bryan -
sorry to hear about the casualty at the end of a good paddling/fishing day.      Well, at least you and the yak are OK, as misfortunes can always be much worse.

I tried using foam pads for my yak before i got my rack, and it seemed like my roof wouldnt support the weight/pressure.   My roof wanted to dent in when i tied it down.   Hopefully you will have better luck with it than i did.

Hey Bryan, sorry for your dent.  It happens to everyone, eventually.  Don't be so hard on yourself, like you said, you were on autopilot, your mind was probably somewhere else.  Just move on, life's too short!  I am embarrassed how many times this year alone I done more mindless things to my truck!

"Dude, I can fix it.  My dad is a tv repairman and has all kind of knarly tools."  Spicoli--fast times.
The bright side, you'll probably never do that again.
