Klamath/Smith trip

Every time I have been there the Yurok have been hammering them, including f'n coho.  I respect there right to harvest, but their methods SUCK!

That is what is so nice about the Smith...There is no Tribal Fishing Rights on the Smith.  When I was up there in January, some Native Americans disagreed and kept the Game Wardens busy pulling out gill nets and setting up stings to prevent the illegal take.

One thing to be aware of on the Smith is that the Tribe does own land along some portions of the shore, so you do need to respect their private property right.

I'll be in the area Christmas Week (at the in-laws) looking to get out for some late Salmon or early Steelies.

Nice work guys. While they aren't huge they are beautiful fish! And I'm sure that salmon is just so sweeeeet after all these days w/o 'em!
