I have to take some vacation days at work so I will be of this Wed Thurs and Friday.  Anyone going out in Monterey or south maybe limekiln, haven't heard a fire update so not sure if LK is open or not but I'm looking to get out somewhere.

Limekiln is closed due to the fire. This was friday when I tried it but dont know about by later this week it sounds like it should be open by then. Ill send you a PM I will be down for a little fishing up there on wednesday would be the best.

 This was posted on the CDF website last night.  I just made a phone call to the Chalk fire info center and they say Mill Creek is open as of today.

Hwy 1 is open, but subject to traffic delays up to 20 minutes. Vehicles must travel slowly and watch for debris and emergency equipment and crews. Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd is closed. South Coast Ridge Rd is closed from Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd to Willow Creek Rd. Limekiln State Park is closed. Mill Creek Day Use area is closed due to emergency equipment in the area.

I am just hopeing for the best and that Limekiln is open by next weekend but that doesnt looks good. If that is the case ill probley just go and camp san simeon and fish around there but I hope it opens up I want to get a limit of reds.

Was hoping to make it there with you guys. I figured i would be burning the candle at both ends if i try to make it tomorrow. I am planning a trip with a friend up to the mouth of the klamath river for this sunday/mon/tues.
