It was 2 islands, 5 days, 180 miles on the boat, 5 fish.  I went down to Santa Cruz and Santa Rosa Island

Awesome fish...were you on a private boat or a charter boat?  If it was a charter boat which one and do you recommend it?

I recommend the Peace boat out of Ventura. Great captain & awesome crew. It's the boat I always go on and they always put you on the fish. I've speared an wsb on every trip. In addition you learn plenty from all the experience on the boat.

We were freediving off a friends 25 ft Davis Rock Harbor.  I also like the Peace (Ventura) or the Horizon if you are going down to San Diego.  I've had a lot of great trips off both boats.
