Yellowboat finally got back in town and found some time to fix his "Jones" for some California bass.
I met up with him and walked him through the inspection and we got on the water 4 hours later than I used to do. The wind came up early, and the surf came up (darned lake lice) but we found some willing fish and had some bass love going on.
Most were still pre-spawn (O.K.....) and kind of small (O.K.!!!) but were willing to take our offering!! (REALLY O.K.!  :smt007 )
They were taking slowplastics at 10-20 feet and jumped like it was still April!!! :smt003

It was a blast to fish with yellowboat again! He is coming to understand why I like the south bay so much. :smt044

Yeah, Ken got me through the inspection really fast and cheap, I think he knows the inspection lady! Then we caught and released quite a few bass, Thanks for another great day on the water, Ken, always a pleasure!----Doug

Thanks for the great report guys! I was wondering how the SC Co lakes were doing post-mussel-inspection-debacle.

No more 5 AM launches at Anderson or Coyote... :smt010
10-20 minutes is all it takes, so what the heck, let's just go fishing! :smt003
