Thanks Erik I have a rod holder that was given to me by a friend that needs something like that to use as a mount.

I took one of those soft 5 gallon water containers found in the camping section of walmart and cut it in half. This will create two trays that are about 15"x15" square and about 6-7inches tall, it's soft so it can fit through the hatch (unlike a rigid plastic tray of the same size) and also can easily be crammed into some of the weird underdeck spaces. Both trays each have a sturdy handle to grab on to. This works pretty good for me. I can be organized with a lot of stuff and not have everything slide out of my reach.
