Coast Guard Pier Monterey

Some cousins came in from Vegas so I am going to take them to what the easiest spot to catch rock cod on A kayak which I believe is on Sat the 17th We will be heading out of MBK in the AM and go towards the Aquarium, if anybody wants to join in. No time in specific. Give A shout out, CH 69. Andy

The beach next to the CG Jetty is called San Carlos Beach. Costs $8 to park for the day (same as the lots near MBK) but a shorter paddle to the kelpbeds off Cannery Row. There is usually decent fishing out there. Also check the shale reefs near the red mile bouy if you go out that way. Just beware of the reserve outside the aquarium (marked w/small bouys) and the new Lovers Pt SMR. Don't want any of my bros to get busted.
